Therapy
Dr. Anderson works with adult clients, through individual and couples therapy, to address therapeutic goals. She helps clients to change ineffective patterns by introducing new skills and building on their strengths. By changing these patterns, individuals are able to create “stepping stones” to experiencing life and relationships as more balanced, empowered, and determined. With couples therapy, therapy relies on the active participation of both individuals within a given relationship. The interconnection between the three main pillars within the relationship—the interests of the individuals, the relationship, and the partner—are highlighted to create balance within the relationship.
Family therapy and parent-child relationship repair (PCRR) are offered to families, with the given service chosen based on the concerns experienced by a particular family. Family therapy can involve an entire family or specific members of a family, with the goal of addressing specific concerns or patterns that have negatively impacted relationships within a family system. PCRR is a specific therapy for complex family systems that are impacted by resist-refuse dynamics. Therapeutic work is focused on addressing and correcting a break in a given relationship between a parent and child. PCRR requires either a Court Order or a decision from a Parenting Consultant that identifies the terms and participation of family members.
