Asssessments & Consultation
Neuropsychological Assessments
Dr. Anderson conducts neuropsychological assessments for the diagnosis of learning disorders, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and co-existing mental health concerns, if any. The assessment begins with a comprehensive clinical interview. Following this review of concerns and relevant history, a standardized battery of tests and questionnaires are administered over the course of two to three appointments.
An accurate diagnosis is necessary for the implementation of accommodations to support students and individuals. These concerns may have a significant history, or they may be relatively new as academic or work demands have increased and consequently less amenable to prior strategies.
School consultation is an optional service offered to families. Dr. Anderson meets with parents and school officials to interpret test results from a recent neuropsychological assessment. Assistance with recommendations for accommodations and supports is provided for the development of either a 504 plan or individualized education program (IEP).
Consultation for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
The consultation appointment is often the final step prior to receiving assistance with growing your family. This supportive and educational process allows individuals and couples—who intend to receive assistance through either donors or a gestational carrier—engage in a guided conversation about the related relational, emotional and social aspects. The journey to becoming a parent can be a struggle that many hadn’t envisioned. The need for ART can be overwhelming, and there can be unique challenges with couples or individuals who are single by choice that want to be parents. Dr. Anderson stives to support parents to complete the mental health consultation in preparation for starting ART with compassion and sensitivity.
